After more than fifteen years of involvement in flagship projects on the Geneva scene, three long- time friends meet one summer evening on a terrace in Carouge. Driven by an undiminished passion for rock music and the desire to create a sincere, raw and powerful project, they set themselves a daring challenge: to form a trio capable of blending their respective influences into a sound that is both modern and timeless. Thus was born AUTOMOBILE CLUB, brought together around Julien Marty (The Animen, Future Faces), Ludovic Lacroix (Promethee, Capital Youth, Future Faces) and Maxence Sibille (KUMA, Captains Of The Imagination). In January 2024, after several writing and rehearsal sessions, the band recorded four original tracks in a Geneva studio with sound engineer Valentin Liechti. Rather than a traditional EP, Automobile Club opted for an agile strategy: releasing their tracks as singles in order to gradually build a coherent sound identity. On 7 August 2024, the first track, ‘I Hate the Heat’, was released and immediately joined the daily playlist of Couleur 3. This was followed by ‘Ghoulz and Boyz’ in October, then ‘Automobile Club’ in December, accompanied by a stop-motion video directed by Nathalie Berger, which combines shots of the musicians and illustrations from books in a unique collage universe. The trio took to the stage for the first time on 22 November 2024 at L'Écurie (Geneva) as part of a Roosevelt Records evening. With the venue sold out, the band immediately confirmed the interest generated by this nascent project. In March 2025, ‘Needles in the Hay’ brought this first production cycle to a close, entirely self- produced and created without external funding. In April 2025, a new chapter began with a creative residency. On 28 November 2025, the single ‘SCI-FI MOVIES’ was released, followed by a second track on 28 January 2026, a prelude to the release of their first album ‘REVOLT MEANS LOVE’, scheduled for 20 February 2026. From now on, AUTOMOBILE CLUB has only one goal: to rock Swiss and international stages with an energetic, dense live set designed to thrill audiences at full throttle.
